Business Development

CMC is committed to growing our clients' businesses.
Processes involved in a business development engagement:
Perform a
Preliminary Assessment
To gauge the level of results you can expect from
your business, we will ask you to complete a preliminary
questionnaire. Using specially designed analytical tools we can
estimate your potential profit improvement.
Conduct an Initial
Consultation
We present you with a summary of the improvement potential in your
business. You will see some of the processes used and how together we
will approach improving your business and its return on investment.
Hold a Planning Session
We begin with a full-day planning session with the owners and managers
of your business to:
 | Identify core business strengths and weaknesses |
 | Ascertain opportunities to explore/exploit |
 | Develop a mission statement |
 | Create an agenda for the work that needs to be
done |
Facilitate Customer Advisory and Team Advisory
Boards
We meet with your customers and team members to identify strengths,
weaknesses, and areas of frustration. We identify systems and
processes within your business that need improvement.
Formalize Strategic Plans
To deal with customer and team issues, we work with the owners and
managers of the business to develop a business model that supports
your customers' needs. We also assist in setting performance standards
as they relate to key systems and processes. After customer and team
issues have been addressed, we work with the owners and managers to
create operating, financial, and marketing plans.
Design and Implement a Management Control
Plan
Finally, CMC works with the owners and managers of the business to:
 | Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to
monitor the business' performance |
 | Use these KPI's to prepare financial projections |
 | Develop and implement a management control plan
to track your progress
